Lincolnshire LMC Members
Lincolnshire LMC currently comprises of 24 elected GPs, plus additional members who can be co-opted to represent particular interests not represented by those elected. The current Committee has realigned itself with the structure of the Practice Based Commissioning clusters. The 24 seats are divided proportionally by head of the population into 4 localities across the eight clusters. Elections take place every 2 years. The day to day running of Lincolnshire LMC is devolved to Lincolnshire LMC Ltd through a Service Level Agreement although the Lincolnshire LMC remains the formal structure under which we exist. This is necessary to obtain adequate Directors and Officers Insurance and Professional Indemnity Insurance for those working within the structure. LMC Committee representatives are ‘members’ of Lincolnshire LMC Ltd and under this structure will be liable to an individual contribution of £1 in the event of the Company being wound up.

Overall strategy is devolved to a Management Committee comprising 4 members of the LMC, which meets twice yearly. An Executive Sub-Committee is made up of members of the LMC and meets bi- monthly to provide direction and advice on issues.
