Email sent by Lincolnshire LMC to all Lincolnshire GPs on Friday, 8 Nov 2019

Dear %recipient.firstname%,

Nomination papers for this year’s LMC elections are attached. Every LMC seat is up for election.

We want any GP working within Lincolnshire to stand for election, regardless of their contractual status, whether partner, salaried or locum. We particularly welcome nominations from those GPs who are under-represented on the current LMC.

Being an LMC member provides a vital outlet for raising issues and concerns that may not affect some of our colleagues in different contractual positions. It is also a great learning experience as well as helping with your personal development. It is a useful forum for engaging with local GPs and organisations, whilst making sure that your voice & those of your colleagues is represented. It is so important to be involved in these changing times for general practice; so regardless of your involvement in medical politics, or your level of understanding of GP issues, you would be welcomed and fully supported as a new LMC member.

There are 10 LMC meetings per year, which take place on the second Thursday of each month in the evening. The meetings alternate between the Bentley Hotel, Lincoln & The Agra Restaurant, Sleaford. Dinner is provided at all meetings & travel expenses are reimbursed.

If you have any questions regarding standing for the LMC please feel free to contact the LMC Office on Tel. 01522 576659.

Nominations are to be received by 12 noon on Monday 9th December 2019 by email to rosa.larner-peet@lpft.nhs.uk

Kind regards

Kate Pilton
