GPC England Regional Elections [ARCHIVED]

Voting is open for the election of GPC England Regional Representative. Members will be elected to serve out the remainder of a three-year term. There is one seat open for the East Yorkshire/North Lincolnshire/Lincolnshire constituency.

The GPC (general practitioners committee) is the only body which represents all GPs in the UK. It deals with all matters affecting NHS GPs, regardless of BMA membership.

BMA members can vote via the BMA election login and voting closes at midday on Monday 14 April.

You can read the candidates’ election statements below:

Dr Reid Baker

“As a GP and LMC Medical Director, I’ve seen our profession systematically undermined by governments and NHSE, eroding our value and morale. This is not just unfair—it’s unacceptable.
We are at a turning point. General Practice is on the brink, but our strength lies in unity and action. I will fiercely defend our profession, challenge those who undervalue us, and fight for the respect, resources, and conditions we deserve.
Your voice matters. Together, we can reclaim our worth, protect our future, and restore General Practice as the true “jewel in the crown” of the NHS.”
Dr Natalie Martin
“A dedicated GP partner, with a passion for partner led general practice at my core. My wide-ranging experience has allowed me to develop a firm understanding of the key issues we face.

I pledge to bring my drive, finance and strategic skills to advocate for fairly contracted general practice. The next few years are critical to the long term survival of the partnership model. My skills and knowledge make me well equipped to contribute to this mission.

Fundamentally, I believe in fair general practice for all. Vote for Natalie Martin for an honest voice with skin in the game.”
