On 19th July 2021 NHSEI wrote to practices explaining their expectations of practices from 19th July onwards.  In summary this letter says

  • Infection Prevention and Control- practices should continue to follow PHE guidance, including maintaining social distancing and face covering deployment
  • Service delivery- practices should offer a blended approach of face-to-face and remote consultation with digital triage
  • Suspended services- most services provided by practices are reinstated but
    • Friends and Family Test remains suspended
    • Consent requirement for eRD remains suspended
    • 111 appointment requirement remains at one slot per 500 patients per day (locally reduced to 1:1000)
    • DSQS DRUM can be completed remotely

Previous SOP “General practice in the context of coronavirus” no longer applies.
