Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for the role of Practice Manager.

The successful candidate will provide effective and robust leadership to enable the practice to meet its agreed aims and objectives within a challenging NHS landscape.

They will maintain a efficient, and safe working environment, whilst nurturing effective teamwork among staff and ensuring the practice remains responsive to our patients.

Meeting our contractual obligations with NHS England is paramount, as well as maintaining full compliance with all aspects of health and safety and employment legislation, CQC (Care Quality Commission) regulations and facilities management compliance.

Main duties of the job

  • Day-to-day operational oversight, ensuring staff achieve their primary responsibilities in line with their roles.
  • Ensure efficient and effective delivery of services
  • Deal with Human Resources issue that should arise
  • Deal with Patients Complaints
  • Providing leadership and guidance to the team and ensure that policy and procedure is followed at all time.
  • Ensure that all policies are up to date and meet regulation guidance
  • Developing and maintaining a strong working relationships with internal and external Colleagues
  • Will need to be able to work collaboratively with the Partners, as a group and individually, to develop and implement strategies.
  • Be aware of the practices requirements under the Quality Outcomes Framework (QOF), maximising performance.
  • Ensure that the practice has a training matrix detailing the training and educational needs of all staff grades in line with current guidance/regulations, and that staff are compliant against this matrix.
