To align with the national MFA policy and in response to feedback from organisations, the NHSmail deadline for the rollout out of MFA has changed to 30 June 2024.

What does this mean?

• Organisations now have until 30 June 2024 to rollout MFA locally on NHSmail accounts, giving you more time to complete your rollout plans before we enforce MFA centrally
• We encourage your organisation to continue to push ahead with your rollouts to protect your organisation and users
• NHSmail MFA Policy and MFA Roadmap will be updated to reflect this
• Details on the central rollout (following 30 June) will be communicated nearer the time.
