Lincolnshire LMC offers professional support for practitioners who may be struggling with challenges or obstacles which are causing a negative impact on their lives, wellbeing or performance in the workplace.
Practice Manager Support
We also provide ad hoc advice and support to their practice manager colleagues, and offer learning opportunities to support Continuous Professional Development for Practice Managers & practice staff. This includes support for new and experienced practice managers, which may be in person, via email or on the telephone.
We offer a weath of resources to help practices prepare for their CQC inspection & also offer an on site walthrough of the inspection for practices.
RCGP Special Measures Peer Support
The programme is intended to support practices needing to make significant changes to improve their services following inspection by the Care Quality Commission (CQC).
How does it work?
Providing a package of expert professional advice, support and peer mentoring from senior GPs, practice managers and nurse practitioners with specialist expertise in quality improvement coordinated by the RCGP. The programme will draw on insight and support from other local practices and professional leaders, including the Local Medical Committee (LMC) and Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG).
The RCGP support team will draw up a tailored plan for each practice in the programme. The duration and sequencing will be agreed at the outset, although reasonable efforts will be made to ensure the support adapts to changing circumstances in the practice. The focus is likely to include work to:
Help the practice understand the problems identified by the CQC
Support the practice to develop an improvement plan (or refine their existing plan) to address issues underlying the problems identified by the CQC
Provide direct advice and mentoring to GPs, practice managers and other staff as they work on improvements

The Cameron Fund
The Cameron Fund is the GPs' own charity. It is the only medical benevolent fund that solely supports general practitioners and their dependents. They provide support to GPs and their families in times of financial need, whether through ill-health, disability, death or loss of employment. They help those who are already suffering from financial hardship and those who are facing it.
The New General Practice Resilience Programme (GPRP)
Will operate to deliver the commitment set out in the General Practice Forward View to invest £40m over the next four years to support struggling practices. This programme aims to deliver a menu of support that will help practices to become more sustainable and resilient, better placed to tackle the challenges they face now and into the future, and securing continuing high quality care for patients.
